Education Trust

The Education Trust Committee is sponsered by Local 4, for it's dues paying members.  Applicants will be renumerated for costs incurred to attend sessions to a maximum of $300.00 per person per calender year.  This committee reviews requests for funding educational sessions.

 

Please note the following:

• Casual employees are eligible for this fund
• application are accepted after attendance only
• Additional forms are available from the Education Trust Fund Chair (Myrna Pachal)
• Applications must be submitted within 60 days of the completion of the course or educational session.
• Incomplete or illegible forms will not be considered and will be returned if possible.
• Expenses listed without receipts will not be reimbursed.
• Maximums refunded: $120.00/day for hotel, $20.00/day for childcare and $29.00/day for meals with receipts
• This fund is TOTALLY separate from any R&R, Continuing Education and the $200.00 available through the Collective Agreement.  Therefore, your entitlement of the above mentioned funds  SHOULD NOT be decreased if you have not used them up.  You are not obligated to disclose what you have/have not used in your Education Trust Fund from Local 4  to the employer.
